Bad Week Bad Month

Health haven been good and I was sick since last week.
Started with a bit of cough then sore throat to having a high fever then down with flu.
I guess I haven been really sick for the past few years so now all the combo comes to me when CNY is coming..
I didn't feel so awful before, normally after taking medicine, I will be fine after a few days.
Not this time even though I rested very early for a few nights.
I just want to lie down on my bed and cuddle my bolster.
Seen doctor for the second time today, hoping I will be better the next few days.

So I read the Fengshui and they said that the Year of Rabbit will have luck but have to take care of health.
Well, not even the horse year, I am already so sickly.

Today is the eve of Chinese New Year.
We are sending of the snake year and welcoming the horse.
I hope the horse year will be good for everyone and as well for myself. :)

Happy Chinese New Year.
Have a good holiday! Huat ah~

South Korea - From Incheon Aiport to Sokcho

You cannot imagine how excited me and my friends were when it was time to head to South Korea!
It's been always one of my dream to go there.
Moreover, we went on the Autumn season which means double Happiness!
Trip was from 19~22 October 2013.
We took Korean Air and it was first time taking that flight.
No transit flight, a straight 6-7hrs of flight to South Korea.
For the whole flight, I didn't get a bit of sleep, damn kelian lah..
Not sure if its cos of the environment that affect my sleep or I was too excited. LOL!

OK! Some in flight photos...

Small pillow and blanket provided.

My breakfast.

So we reached Incheon Airport at around 8am+ in the morning.
After custom clearance at Incheon Airport, we went to find the counter to purchase the data roaming.
They called it the WiBro Egg from KT Olleh.

Forgot to take a pic of it and this is what I found on the web.
It look something like this.

After that, we went to buy the bus ticket (Cost KRW15,000 for 1 way trip) to Gangnam bus station.
From Gangnam station, we took another long bus ride to Sokcho for 2D1N stay.

We took this bus 6020 to Gangnam Station.

I was too tired that I napped for awhile.
Janice took this pic without me knowing.. 0_0"

Finally reached the stopped outside Seoul, Gangnam Station.
Stepped out of the bus and feeling the cold weather~

After which, we went to look for the bus station and get the bus ticket to Sokcho.

They have a screen project the price and the destination.
Take a look and find where you want to go.

We got the 1.30pm ticket for KRW18,100.
Since we had some time, we went to have our lunch.
There were a few Korean restaurant around the area and we settled down at one.

Us with the side dishes..

Army claypot soup

Not sure what is this but the ajumma say its good for health..
By the way, the ajumma there can understand Chinese so we can communicate in Mandarin.
After food, we explore around the bus station before finding the boarding gate to wait for our bus.

The long bus ride have a stopover for us to go for toilet break and also there's small bites to buy.

Sheauwei suggested to try this fish cake because she watches Korean show and they like to eat these stuff.

Then I bought this baked potato to try too..

Continue our journey for few hours and...

We reached Dongbu Express which was a bit far from our guesthouse.
Therefore, we took a cab down.
First few cab drivers were unfamiliar with James Blue guesthouse but we asked them to call the owner and finally 1 brought us there..

I will review on this guesthouse in other post..

Was greeted by a cute puppy~

After putting our luggages, we went out to explore the places.
We got a map from the tourist information counter.

First stop, Yeonggeumjeong Sunrise Pavilion.
It was quite late when we reached there..

I was quite crazy to wear that thin stocking.. LOL!
Wore it that day and for the rest of the day, I didnt wear it anymore..

Look sweet even those we don't know the names (I assume those words are names)..

Lighthouse Observatory at Sokcho.

I guess this is the Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion Observatory.
It was under construction so we don't have chance to go up there..

Was lucky to catch a sunset!

The night falls and we saw rainbow bridges.
Decided to walk over..

But before that, we went to find food are the area..

Filling inside the squid.
Taste quite nice but not my preference.

We walked over to Abai Village.
This rainbow light bridge called Seorak-daegyo Bridge if the map states correctly.

Abai village was a filming site for Autumn in my Heart, one of my favorite drama.
It was quite that night so I guess they only open in the day..

After exploring the place, we went back to our guesthouse to rest to prepare for the next day.

This is the Geumgang-daegyo Bridge.
Will be back soon for more updates!

Throwback Weekend

Weekend is always so short.
I'm back to Monday and its over soon.
Starting my 2nd week of work, with the train faulty early in the morning for the red line.
Red line always like to cock up during working hours!
So I reached work at about 9.40am and end about 6.30pm.
Everyday is a sleepy and not so productive day~
Sigh~ Enough about my job.

Weekend was almost hell for me after I went for workout at Fitness First with SheauWei on Saturday.
I am having muscle ache all over my body - To be exact, my arms, thighs and butt.
On a good note, it good to have a healthy lifestyle since I am gaining weight nowadays.
I AM SERIOUS! I gained like 3kgs suddenly and I don't know where it goes to.
People still saying I look slim. -_-
So I am starting to wonder is it the weighing machine having some problem or is it my eyes having problem.

Anyway, I was interested in the TRX class so she brought me there.
After which, we also join the BodyPump and BodyCombat class.
I guess BodyPump is difficult for me because you have to carry a bar weight to workout and I don't have strength.
BodyCombat was fun, something like kickboxing and its the only workout that make me sweat.
I guess it feels quite good because I know I burned of some calories.

Somehow I guess I should take it slow since I haven seen working out.
Now I am having trouble walking, squatting down, and even hold heavy stuff.
My right arm couldn't straighen as well.
I sound like a poor thing. =_=
Really hope to be better tomorrow.

The Third Day

New year, new hair~ :)
I wanted to do a dip dye red but as advised that it wouldn't look nice on a short hair.
So I shall wait for my hair to grow first.
In the meantime, I highlight streaks of highlight underneath my hair.

Anyway, it my 3rd day today.
Heard a saying that 3 days, 3 months and 3 years are the crucial period that can make a person leave a job.
Well, I survived the third day.
Somehow today seems better than the first 2 days, I guess somehow my supervisor gives some encouragement and assurance that makes me feel better in the morning?
Still, I have some other worries...
I just hope I can survived till the last day.
Jiayou bah!

Dory Dippers (S$8.00)

Buttermilk Waffles w/ Butter Rum Bananas (S$14.00)

Charged!

休息是为了走更长远的路。我休息了,现在要出发了!GO! GO!

After a long long 3 month plus of being unemployed, finally I am back to the working industry.
Since last year October, I had been on the lookout for a career but I feel that nothing suits me well.
I actually rejected a few offers which I felt quite bad about it.
However, I feel that I need a place where I can stay for long and not like my previous employment which I only stayed for a short 4 months.

Now, I'm working somewhere in the central of Singapore and I hope I will be happy with it and that I can stay for long or at least a year. Haha..
Well deep down inside my heart, I still love working in my ex-Japanese company where I learn a lot but due to some circumstances I just have to move on. Heh~~
I just love the job over there lah..
I should stop brooding over the past..

Anyway, hopefully I get to learn something from this new company and get a better resume for my future career.
Fighting!!!

Short Gateaway to Kuala Lumpur

This is a backlog travelogue on Kuala Lumpur (KL). :p
Back in September, Boyfriend and I went to KL for a short getaway and also to attend my ex-colleague wedding.
It was like an weekend trip.
We went on the Saturday and came back on Monday (21~23 Sept 2013).
It wasn't my first trip to KL though as I went there on a holiday before back in 2009 which was like 4yrs ago.

On day one, after we touched down and check in to Prince Hotel & Residence KL, we went to explore Pavillion Mall.
The hotel and the mall is just less than 5min walk away only.

Had our first meal in KL Santouka.

Then we explore the Tokyo Street in Pavillion.

Some decoration. I guess it was around the Mid Autumn Festival then.

BIG origami crane

And boyfriend with his favorite cartoon character Doraemon. LOL!

After exploring Pavillion, we went to Bukit Bintang area where we saw H&M there.
I tell you, the stuff there are so much cheaper than in Singapore because of the currency rate.
It was SGD1=MYR2.57 so it was a privilege for us!.
I bought a few clothes back which was worthy. ^^

Had our dinner at LOT 10 foodcourt.
Guess how much I bought this duck rice for??

RM12.00 for Malaysian chicken seems expensive lea??
But for us its around S$5, not worth it for that portion.

Back to hotel at night to rest and we caught fireworks outside our room.
Not sure what event was that but they put it a few times.

On the day 2 which is the wedding day of my colleague.
Because I only attending the dinner, we had free time in the morning and noon.
Boyfriend and I decide to travel out of our area and head to Mid Valley MegaMall.

We walked to KLCC because we want to take the train from there.
Along the way, we asked many people for the direction. LOL!

I swear the KL transit is complicated for a small state. -__-
I hope Singapore MRT line don't be so complicate in future for a small country.

Leaving KLCC to KL Sentral to change line to Mid Valley.

Here's the KL Sentra. Complicated area where you need to find the correct color line to go to your destination.

Mid Valley MegaMall is indeed a mega mall.
However, there's nothing much that interests us.
So when those shops don't interest us, we head to the supermarket area. HAHA!

Colorful Macaroon which regretted didnt try...

Snacking and resting our legs.

Bought this Bevanda ice Lemon Tea and its really nice.
Almost tastes the same as the one I bought in Penang.
Still wondering what the brand that I bought in Penang. D;

Heading back to our hotel to get ready for dinner..

On our way back to the hotel, we caught a rainbow in the fountain near KLCC.
This Is NOT Photoshopped.

Selfie after dressing up. :p

BF and I ready~

Then we went to meet my ex bosses and colleague and we took a cab together to the restaurant called Dynasty Dragon Seafood Restaurant at SS Two Mall.
The place was quite deserted that even the cab driver also don't even know the place and we kept going round and round. Zzz
Still, we reached the place safely~

With the pretty bride, June.

KTPL people from all over the world, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan..

Actually, Malaysia Chinese wedding is same as the Singapore Chinese custom wedding.
No difference.

So after the wedding dinner, we went back to our hotel and rest for the day.
Day three afternoon, we left KL and head back to Singapore.
Nice getaway. :)
