Turning 30!

On this day, its another year of birthday and this time its the 30th.
Though I dread turning 30 but I got to say that this year is an awesome year for me!
New milestones in life~
Wedding, Graduation ceremony, hopefully to travel to a new country end of the year, etc..
Even though I am getting married this June, marriage life will start after we get our house key and live together which will be happening next year I guess.

As I am typing, I am reflecting back.
Looking back in my 20s, there were so many changes, up and down, mistakes that I've made, memories that I want to erase, etc.
It's the same for everyone just that each and everyone has their own different stories to write.
The 20s, an age that you dare to try to be different, do what you want and chase your dreams.
I always thought that I am always very conservative and introvert but I've dared to try to chase what I wanna be.
Even though I didn't succeed and I've failed, I can just say that I've tried.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right?
I know I became stronger.

The 30s, will be an age whereby people start settling down.
I don't dream big anymore but I still have goals.
I would say goals that are practical to meet.
For now, I will just be waiting for June to pass and I will not be so busy anymore.

Saw the this chinese quote online: "別被30歲嚇著,這個數字不過是另一段的成長,要你學會更擁抱自己,要你展開人生新的旅途,啟程吧,我的精彩30!"
It says "Don't be afraid of 30, this number is just another stage of life, it makes you embrace yourself more, it wants you to start a new journey in life, come on, my wonderful 30!"
I will face it positively.
Come on!

Goodbye 20s.

Feeling really sleepy now at 10pm on a Friday night!
How can that be?!
I usually slept past 12 midnight on a Friday night but today I really cannot keep my eyes open anymore.

Totally drained.
Been working extra hours for this week and I believe the coming week as well.
Getting busy due to system change and I have to rush all the orders to close.
But still, new orders keep coming in.. WTH..

Work aside, its about 7 weeks more to the big day.
Preparation almost done, just bits and pieces there.
The most important thing that is stuck is to clear the house and my room!
Sick of this issue.
Anyway, it gonna be a last minute thing to clear and do the painting.
Will get over it!
Just another rush..

I guess I'll just go sleep early tonight.
Looking forward to my birthday weekend! :D
Good night. <3

Wedding: Pre-wedding Photoshoot Experience

Our pre-wedding photoshoot took place on 3 October 2016, just a day after my dissertation submission.
It's a great timing that I selected, whereby all my worry temporary throw behind me and focus on photoshoot.
It was a Monday, so both of us took a day off from work.
Advised by my French Wedding coordinator, Joanne, that selecting a weekdays is better because it will not be crowded and no one photobombing you.

So we went to the boutique as early as about 9am.
The makeup and hair done for me and G took about 2hrs and then we started our indoor studio shoots.
I had 3 gowns for indoor shoots, so the MUA gave me 3 different looks/ styles.
We finished our indoor shoots at around 2-3pm then we prepared to go outdoor.

Before these, G and I had a hard time thinking of which outdoor venue to shoot.
I didn't want places that look like Singapore, hence places like MBS, Garden By the Bay are out.
Finally, we concluded that to shoot at Victoria Concert Hall and Botanic Garden.
The area at Botanic Garden might be somewhere not many has known of.

So anyway, our outdoor shoot took about 3hrs at two places.
I felt lucky that I had toilet to change into the second gown.
I didn't find somewhere whereby I need to use tent to change.
If not, I will be so uncomfortable and insecure. Haha..

Overall, I feel that the photoshoot went well.
Even though, I feel quite awkward with G on some pose. Haha..
The photographer is also very patience with us.

It was a big headache when comes to selecting photos.
There were a total of 182 photos taken and we have only 38 photos to select.
In the end, we bought extra 4 photos.
So in total, we have selected 42 photos and we've also collected our photo albums.
Happy with the outcome. :)

I will share our Pre-Wedding Photos after 3 months.
Here's a picture of our album cover.

Wedding: Food Tastiing at Novotel Clarke Quay & Parents Meeting

Last Friday night, 10 March 2017, we had our food tasting at Novotel Clarke Quay.
It was also the day whereby two side of the parents first meet up.
Lucky, it wasn't too awkward and the night went well too.

As for the food, I hope the guest will enjoy it.
I am not someone who can tells whether the food is very good or not very good.
Different people has different liking too.

Counting down to less than 3 months.
I am getting nervous....

Wedding: Wedding Cards

It's already March! Left 3 months and 1 week to go..
Its scary when you feels that the days are getting nearer.

I am going to talk about the wedding cards.
T Dragon Cards is Novotel's wedding card supplier.
Last month, G and I headed down to T Dragon which located at AMK to select our wedding cards.

It is a small office space and lucky for us, it wasn't crowded then.
We looked for a table to settle down and one of the lady handed us a file containing many different wedding invitation card designs.
All the cards we saw wasn't very impressive so we really had a hard time choosing.
G then saw one customer collected his wedding card and it was like love at first sight for him.

Ended up, we got that design that he saw but we need to top up for the design.
Initially, I guess no one really care about the card because mostly people just take and throw.
But I still go along with it because the price difference isn't really that much.

2 weeks ago, we gotten the printed card and was very happy with the wedding card.
We decide to keep 1 for ourselves for memory because it is really pretty.

Today, because I met Tommy for dinner so I gaave out my first red bomb to him. :D
He was all ready to accept it. Haha..
Soon, I will slowly give out the invites.

So is it. ^^

Hello Future Home!

G and I have been wanting to cycle over to our future home to see the progression.
But many times when we planned, the weather was bad.
Finally, we went there today because the weather was good and not raining.
Was excited and happy to see that everything is all done up - Painting, window installed, etc.
Seeing this progression, most probably, we will be able to get our keys last quarter of this year or first quarter of next year.
Shall let u guess which unit I am taking.

Sidetrack a little, I haven been cycling or exercising for many months.
My stamina is getting worst.
Last time, cycling 15km was not a big problem but this time I felt like dying.
Maybe, just maybe I didn't eat much for lunch. Haha..

Ok, I hope for good news on our house soon. :)

Valentine's Day 2017

Happy Valentine's Day!

I was unhappy with G yesterday morning because we didn't even make plan for today Valentine's dinner.
When I was messaging him, he sound like 不耐烦 even though he said its the way he talks but I dislike the way he reply - "yaya".
Anyway, I kept telling him that I don't want to meet anymore.
Moreover, the dining places will be fully booked as well.
Hence, we dropped the idea of celebrating today.

At 12 midnight, he messaged me.
He was at my house with a bouquet of flowers.
Haha.. so me being girl.. seeing the flower and the effort.. I didn't feel unhappy anymore..
算他有还有良心。 哈哈哈!
So he told me that it will be our last Valentine's as girlfriend and boyfriend.
And I tells him that my expectation will be higher when he becomes my husband. Wahaha~
I am so demanding. :p

Wedding: Gown Fitting for Pre-Wedding Photoshoot

I am going write on what was my experience for Pre-wedding photography.

First and foremost, G and I bought the package at BOWS November last year.
I was quite reluctant that time because he didn't even proposed yet.
Initially, we just wanted to look around but was then "kena psycho" by the cheap package that was offered by French Wedding.
For your info, French Wedding was the first merchant that we stepped into.
We didn't even get to see the other merchants, but we ended up signing up for their package.
I guessed we were easily convinced back then.

From the period of signing up in November last year till my appointment with them on the gown selection, I was actually worried, and also felt that we bought the package impulsively.
I feel that we should check out those shops in JB, because it is cheaper.
Moreover, their shooting location is not Singapore.
I kept telling G that I don't want to shoot at location whereby people knows its Singapore. LOL!

What worries me was that when I want to do research online on French Wedding, there isn't much info on their studio, gowns, etc.
Not only that, I even saw bad review on them that was dated years ago.
The only plus point is that the package SEEMS cheaper than the other merchants that offered in Singapore.

Anyway, since there isn't much review on French Wedding, so I gonna write my part here.
However, different people will have different encounter with them, so this is based on my experience with French Wedding.

I had my first gown selection and fitting on 24 September 2016 for Pre-wedding photoshoot.
Joanne was my main coordinator.
And there's another lady called Lily who helped me with the gown fitting.
She is a nice and helpful lady and we clicked really well.
They have a wide range of gown selection and I really enjoy the process though it was tiring (Mentally and Physically).
Many gowns that I wore was really beautiful but I can only limit to 5 gowns. :(
Here are some gowns that I tried and I am not telling you which one that I choose.
Will release all after I am married. LOL!

Actually, I really enjoy trying different gowns because I feel like a princess or barbie doll. Haha..
It is really unusual of me to use "princess" this word because I am not that girly girl who will appreciate princess stuff.
Anyway, I just love seeing myself wearing different gowns. Haha..

I think we took about 5hrs to select all the 5 gowns and suits for G.
Really a dilemma to choose the gowns.
Anyway, it was over.
Gown fitting went really well.

I will be back to tell you about my Pre-wedding photoshoot experience in another posts.
Till then..

Wedding: Wedding Bands

We gotten our wedding bands on 13 August 2016!
The process of looking for the right ring took us about 3 months.

At first, my thought was to get matching wedding bands (design) because I feel that its more symbolic and meaningful.
However, G and I have different liking hence we decided to get different designs.
Anyway, I guess the purpose of wearing a wedding band is to show that one is married so its okay to not having the same design.
I considered that I have to like the ring, feels comfortable in it as I need to wear it everyday.
Friends told me that it is okay not to have the same design too.

Before getting the right one, we searched and tried out many brands - Lee Hwa, SK Jewellery, Michael Trio, etc.
The below 2 are from Lee Hwa.

Finally, we settled on Michael Trio because it can custom made as well as they have a wide varieties of designs.

For G, he selected a design that look like Bvlagri wedding band.
The ring looks thick to me which I dislike.
I prefer ring that is thinner.
Here's the 3 designs that I shortisted.

Guess which is my final decision?

We paid our first deposit on April and was told that we can collect at the end of May.
On May, when we saw our ring, I diamond wasn't fill half the ring and I think it was also loose for my finger.
In the end, we ask them to redo which explain why I got the rings on August.

Overall, I was happy with the service that Michael Trio provided us.
The sales guy is very patience with us.
I feel that it is very important because as a couple, we want to look for the best and suitable wedding bands for ourselves.
We will request to see many many ring designs until we find the ring one.
The sales guy is not only patience with us, he also help to give advise when we need it.

So you ready to see our wedding bands? :)

Hello to the Rooster year.
This year, we had a long weekend - Saturday to Monday off!
How's your CNY this year? Mine was fine.
Surprisingly this year, I didn't dye a new hair color and also didn't go for manicure.
Just wanna save some money. :p

First day of CNY will be the usual house visiting.
This year, many people told us that it will be our last year receiving ang pows.
Haha.. I get it.

Anyway, the usual will be to visit his family side then at my side.
This year, he started his visiting late while mine was earlier than the previous year.
Usually, we go house visiting about 7pm but this year we started at 5pm.

#MOTD. Bad hair day because I had a hard time curling it. Sigh~

And I love the design at the back. #sexyback LOL!

This is my great grandma who is 93 years old this year.
A photo of the 1st generation and the 5th generation.
Worth the keep for memory. :)

Of cos, my nephew need to have a pic with me.
Can't resist his fat cheek. Haha..
Anyway, this is his first CNY.

So we went to great grandma house, then to grandma house and then to my Auntie house whereby my paternal side grandma stayed in.

No visiting this year on the 2nd day.
Usually, we will go to his auntie's house but this year we didnt.
So we only went out for movie.
Watched The Fortune Handbook 财神爷.

Day 2 #OOTD

Went visiting at his another auntie house.
Nothing much to do there so just play with G's niece.
This girl still feel shy when she sees me always.
Shy but still okay to play with me. Haha..

Hope you had a great rest and enjoyed the past three days too.
Happy Chinese New Year again! :)

Its the CNY eve!
Sending off the Monkey and welcoming the Rooster in about half an hour time!

This year I feel that the 气氛 is not really there.
Anyway, still is very rare to eat together and reunion dinner is always a special today to gather.

Our steamboat reunion dinner every year.
This year is a little different because I helped out more in the kitchen.
I have never cut a big piece of pork and chicken in my entire life until yesterday night. LOL!
And the chicken are so oily than the pork. How can that be? LOL!
Anyway, my job took about 2 hours to complete.
Seem so tedious.
Well, I am learning and I know practice make perfect.
I will try harder next time since I am going to be someone's wife soon. Hahaha..

Shall update more on the CNY the next post.
Now, I wish you a Happy CNY!

I'm Graduated!

This gonna be the FIRST best news of my 2017!

Last Friday, my classmates and I got a late email from our Program Executive that we can collect our result.
Because it was a very late email like about 7pm, all of us wouldn't able to get our late.
So today, I decided to go retrieve my result during lunch time.
One reason is because I was eager to know my result, the other reason is because I have an appointment at night.
Coincidentally, Jean and Charmaine were also taking their result during lunch hours, so I met up with them.

To be honest, I wasn't very worried whether I passed or not.
I think I can pass and that my score would be a Second upper or lower.
Of course, I hope for Second Upper.

When I opened my SMRF letter, I was happy because I got what I hope for!
Finally, I graduated.
All the hard work, the sleepless nights paid off.

Sometimes, I still feel empty coming home doing nothing much just watching drama.
I feel that I am wasting my time away. Haha~
But I don't think I will go for Master.. yet..

Aiya.. maybe after married, got kids then I won't feel so empty already.
Seeing how my sis and mum taking care of Zyden, I can see how my life would be next time. Lol

Now, I am worried for the date of my Congregation ceremony.
Really crossed my fingers that it WILL NOT clashed with my wedding day.
I really want to attend my once in a lifetime ceremony. *Pray hard*
If not, I will see my classmates at night for my wedding.
I'll ask them to wear Robe to my wedding. Hahahaha..
Hopefully the Program Executive will give me another good news soon!
